This weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the wedding of a friend I've known since kindergarten. She was one of my first friends and I remember tea parties at her house with marzipan fruits, cooking (mis)adventures, and numerous sleepovers, staying up until the wee hours of the morning, giggling about who-knows-what and probably driving her parents crazy.
This friend of mine is now all grown up and it was beautiful to see her with the love of her life this Sunday, saying yes to a lifetime with him. They are a great couple - I knew from the moment I saw him there was a strong chance of them getting married! My friend looked like a princess in her stunning dress.
My friend's ceremony was also terrific because I got to experience Carmel-by-the-Sea for the first time! For those of you who haven't been there, it's a must-visit area with a beautiful white sand beach, and a cute little shopping area. My friend got married at Mission Ranch, which has a sheep pasture and we had our fluffy friends baaah-ing during the vows. :)

I also enjoyed this weekend because I got to connect with some of my middle/high school friends I hadn't seen in ages! It's all interesting to see where we all end up in life - I was very happy for my friends who were also married or engaged or simply enjoying their time working in a field they feel passionate about.
Who doesn't love wedding? They are full of joy, happy tears, and awesome/hilarious dancing. They make us to value the relationships we have, both platonic and romantic, and be grateful for what we have.
