What a crazy, jam-packed week! As you may know, I am new to Crittenden this year (like my sixth graders!) so a lot of the Welcome Week activities were a first for me as well. I had a blast getting to know my students better, playing games, learning about our 4 Pillars (Positive People, Working Together, Actively Engaged, Striving for Excellence), and screaming at the All School Rally!
I have been reading the letters my students wrote to me about themselves and it is clear they feel the love radiating from their families. Many talked about how supportive their parents and siblings are, and these words warmed my heart! It truly does take a village to raise a child - thank you to the hard working parents, guardians, other family members, and friends who are partnering with Crittenden to make this the most successful school year yet!
Next week we will be diving into our "Where I'm From" poems in more detail. Over the weekend, students should start brainstorming what they want to write about, but no worries if there are questions about the project - we will go over it in detail when you come back on Monday.
Have a fabulous weekend!!
Love,
Miss T.
